This one has a baby’s tail sticking out of the pouch.  The female has 13 nipples there and any baby that doesn’t find one dies.

The yellow on this fellow’s chest suggests it is a male.

Though they don’t live long it is possible to recognize individuals.  Their tails can be mostly black or partially black.  The pink on the ears is individual–like identifying whales from their fluke marks.  Many have nipped off tail ends.

This baby played dead and I was impressed.  I even poured water over it.

This baby scooted up a tree.
