Though this is a native plant, I have never seen it except along Colorado 14 just west of Sterling. It appears with the Blue Flax and the Indian Blanket Flower (Fire Wheel). I suspect these plants appear because of re-seeding after road work or because of the “Pollinator” plantings by such groups as Pheasants Forever.
This plant has been in this location for at least two years.
