Haven’t seen this bloom open any farther. Maybe does at night when I’m not around. But notice that this blossom does have the five petals that adorn the milkweed species to follow. They are simply clasped to the center of the flower. Also, notice the small fly on one of the flowers.
The leaves on this low-growing plant are a good identifier.
