Green-Spored Parasol (Chlorophyllum molybdites) (Poisonous). Common in backyards. One that looks very similar is edible. My source for mushrooms is “Mushrooms of Colorado” by Vera Stucky Evenson. It is in cooperation with the Denver Botanic Gardens and the Denver Museum of Natural History. An excellent book with beautiful pictures. (My copy is autographed. Picked it up at a yard sale.) I don’t eat mushroom, but one rule I see often is: Don’t eat any without first cooking them.
A day later.
