Deer. Happens to be White-Tailed. Some contend they can tell the difference between Mule and White-Tailed. I’m happy to say “deer.”
Read somewhere that only bucks drag their hooves before planting. Not so. All do it.
Humans also drag their feet before planting. At least in snow.
This is White-Tailed scat. It is clumped together when their food is moist. It becomes separated when the forage is dry. Mule Deer usually produce the pea-sized scatter.
