Said to be our largest hawk, the Ferruginous is largely a winter visitor though they do nest here.  The nest shown below, north of North Sterling State Park, has been used at least six of he past seven years.  One winter the nest was completely blown away but rebuilt the next Spring.  I can’t tell if it is the same pair.Ferruginous Hawk
