The most common oriole in our area is the Bullock’s Oriole.  It has a single black line running through its eye.

Less common is the Baltimore Oriole.  It has an all black head and a yellowish to orange body.

A smaller and quite common oriole is the Orchard Oriole.  Very orange body when mature.

Though it can be confusing, this is an as yet immature Orchard Oriole male.

Nests are high in the trees and difficult to spot.

Ever adapting, this oriole has used white and green threads from a deck chair.
